The Mind-set Of The Righteous · Monday, July 1st ·
Pastor Chris
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just (righteous)… (Luke 1:17).
I want you to mark the expression in our opening verse above—"the wisdom of the righteous." The verse says we’re to turn the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, which means the righteous have a certain kind of wisdom.
Now, what kind of wisdom does the righteous have? The Greek word from which "wisdom" here is derived is "Phronesis"; it means a mind-set: a fixed mental attitude or a disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to situations, and his interpretations of those situations. Such mental attitude influences your actions under a given situation. It’s a programming of your mind to reason, respond, interpret situations and behave in a certain way, usually, the most excellent way!
Jesus had this mind-set. Recall a certain occasion when He went up the mountain to pray, and when He was through, His disciples had sailed out into the sea, and all the boats were gone, being late at night. He didn’t panic. He didn’t start praying, "O, God, please help me now." No. He just stepped out on the water and walked on it as though it were dry ground. He didn’t think of sinking, because He had a fixed mental attitude! To Him, there was no difference between the sea and dry ground; nothing was going to stop Him from getting to the other side of the shore. He had a mind-set that had no sense of fear or impossibilities.
God expects us, His children, to function with the mind-set of the righteous, which can only be gotten through the Word of God. The Word helps you form the right mind-set: the mind-set of a victor; the mindset of one who’s more than a conqueror; the mind-set of success.
Prayer
Dear Father, your Word has enriched me with the right mind-set—the mind-set of the righteous—such that my response to circumstances and situations are from the standpoint of victory! Thank you for your wisdom that’s at work in me to function with the dominion of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Declare Words Of Faith! · Sunday, June 30th ·
Pastor Anita
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (Mark 11:23).
The Lord Jesus already defeated Satan and the cohorts of darkness on your behalf. In Luke 10:18-19, He said, "…I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Colossians 2:15 presents a graphic illustration of the victory of Jesus over Satan and the cohorts of hell: "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
The Lord Jesus dispossessed Satan of his authority, rendered him powerless and gave us the victory! Therefore, Satan doesn’t have any right over the world today, neither does he have the power to run your life. So if the circumstances of your life aren’t in sync with the life of victory and dominion that Christ has obtained for you, it’s your responsibility to effect a change. Don’t cry about it; don’t muse over it; simply effect a change by speaking faith-filled words.
Perhaps you’ve been experiencing challenges in your health; it’s time to speak and effect a change! Jesus said in our theme verse that you shall have what you say; act on that word. Speak and effect the changes you desire in your life. Appropriate and lay hold of the victories Jesus already wrought and accomplished for you through your faith-filled declarations. It may be in your job, finances, or family; refuse to accept defeat. Keep declaring your victory.
Don’t complain about the predicament; talk to it. Command a change in the Name of Jesus! Your victory is in your mouth. Jesus said to His disciples right after He cursed the fig tree, "…Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done" (Matthew 21:21). This is the way to effect a change in any situation; you have to declare words of faith.
Confession
I’m a victor in Christ Jesus! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The Word of faith that changes things is in my heart and in my mouth today, prevailing over circumstances and situations in the Name of Jesus. Satan and his cohorts are under my feet; and I live perpetually in victory, health, dominion, and righteouness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Work And Effect Of Righteousness · Saturday, June 29th ·
Pastor Chris
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Isaiah 32:17).
Romans 5:1 says, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." The Apostle Paul makes known to
us a profound truth, that having been declared righteous by faith we’re
now at peace with God; we’re one with Him. This, according to our
opening verse, is the work or result of the righteousness of God in you.
There’s no war or enmity between you and God; the death, burial and
resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought you into oneness with Him; into
absolute peace.
This peace transcends a mere feeling of calm;
we’re friends with Him now. He doesn’t see you as a sinner anymore, and
you’re not to relate to Him as one would to a vengeful judge. He’s your
gracious, loving, heavenly Father.
The Prophet Isaiah’s thought
in our opening verse also talks about the effect of righteousness: it
shall be quietness and assurance forever. What does this mean? Hebrew
11:1 (AMP) says, "NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the
title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we]
do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real
facts what is not revealed to the senses]. " In other words, faith is
the confident or quiet assurance that what God says we are, we are; what
He says we have, we have. Thus, the effect of righteousness in us shall
be that we operate the Godkind of faith.
Faith isn’t a problem
for the righteous, because he’s born with it. Everyone who’s born again
receives the measure of faith: "…according as God hath dealt to every
man the measure of faith" (Romans 12:3). Faith isn’t something you try
to get; it’s in your spirit. All you have to do is increase it by
learning more of God’s Word, and then strengthen it by acting on the
Word.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for sending
Jesus to die for my sins and for raising Him from the dead for my
justification. Now I know that I’m one with you and have peace with you,
being justified freely by your grace! I thank you for this wonderful
privilege, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Our Higher Life In Him · Friday, June 28th ·
Pastor Chris
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).
The Greek word translated "shew" is "kataggello" which means to
declare, announce, and to teach. This is why taking the Holy Communion
is so significant because as we participate in the communion, we
announce to devils of darkness, angels, and all creation, the death of
Jesus Christ, and the glory that should follow. It’s a celebration of
the indestructible life that we now have in Him. Because He died, we now
have a glorious life!
Matthew 8:17 declares, "That it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took
our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." If He bore your infirmities
and sicknesses, then you should never be sick! However, as glorious as
this truth is, there’s a higher level. The understanding at the babyhood
stage that Jesus took your infirmities and sicknesses is good. However,
beyond that is a higher level of awareness and recognition that being
born again, the life of God is actually in you now: that transcendent
life, beyond sickness and disease. This higher knowledge is what you
should really study, and train yourself to live by.
Set your
gaze on the Word; have the consciousness that eternal life is in you
now. Rejoice in who you are in Christ now. In Him, you have a new life
that’s superior to Satan, sickness, infirmities and death. 2 Corinthians
5:17 says "...if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Celebrate your
higher life in Him.
Confession I’m not of this world;
therefore I’m not subject to the circumstances and rudiments of this
earthly realm. Christ Jesus gave me eternal life— the overcoming,
indestruct ible, unconquerable life of God; and I walk with this
consciousness today; glory to God!

Be Prompt To Give · Thursday, June 27th ·
Pastor Anita
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver (2
Corinthians. 9:7).
Whenever God asks you to give Him something
you cherish dearly as a seed, be prepared to do it. Someone may unwisely
want to hold on to that thing and struggle with whether or not to give
it. But think about it; can anyone out-give God? He only asks you to
give so you can by so doing, launch yourself into the next level of your
prosperity in Him.
Another reason you must always be prompt to
give is that your financial seeds to God could sometimes serve as
ransom for your life against evil. Proverbs 13:8 says, "The ransom of a
man’s life are his riches…." You need to realize that though Satan is a
defeated foe, he’s a rebel, who continuously seeks to snare God’s
people. Therefore, don’t give him a foothold in your life. Sowing
special seed-offerings is one sure way to silence him and obliterate
every hindrance he places in your way.
Testimonies abound of
people who were healed of terminal ailments after they gave a special
seed-offering. That offering became the ransom for their lives! Don’t
hold on tenaciously to anything God asks you to give, for the promise is
to the giver. Luke 6:38 says, "Give, and it shall be given unto you;
good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall
men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal
it shall be measured to you again."
You place a limit on God’s
ability to provide for you when you’re reluctant to give. Don’t limit
God in your mind! Quit thinking you’ll lose for being a giver, for no
one is ever a fool for faith. Nothing should be too much for you to give
to the Lord; be it your time, money, talent or skills. The beautiful
thing is, whatever you give to Him in faith, He’ll multiply it back to
you a hundred times over.
Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank
you for your grace and providence in my life. I’ll give joyfully always,
without holding back, because I recognize that all I have comes from
you; you’re my source, my greatness and my prosperity. I thank you for
increasing your grace and capacity in me to give and be a blessing, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A GOSPEL OF WHOLENESS
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are
complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
Colossians 2:9-10
The Gospel of Jesus Christ that's been ministered to us is a Gospel of
wholeness and completeness. Through this Gospel, life and immortality
have been brought to light (2 Timothy 1:10). What kind of life? The life
of righteousness: a balanced life of excellence, where every area of
your life is perfected.
There're people who, for example, are
doing very well in their jobs, but with ailing health. Some others are
excellent in their health and in their jobs, but things aren't going
very well with their families. God doesn't want your life to be that
way; He doesn't want you lacking in any area. Recall what Jesus said to
those He ministered to; "Thy faith hath made thee whole" (Mark 5:34 ,
Mark 10:52 , Luke 17:19 ).
Everyone who has received the
message of salvation ought to experience this completeness in Christ,
where you prosper in all areas: in your spirit, soul, and body. Someone
might be asking, "I know this ought to be my experience, but why isn't
it working for me?"
First, for it to work, you have to apply an
important principle of the Kingdom called "the mirror principle." The
mirror principle of the Word is that you see yourself to be what God
says you are in His Word, and then act accordingly. It simply means
acting the Word. Our theme verse says you're complete in Christ, endorse
it; see yourself as such. Make it your contemplation and constant
confession. Christ's purpose is that you be filled with all the fullness
of God (Ephesians 3:19). Therefore, there's nothing more that needs to
be done in you to make you more divine, for Christ is in you.
2
Peter 1:3 tells us that His divine power has already given us
everything that pertains to life and godliness. There's nothing missing
or lacking in your life. Everything you require for an extraordinary
life of wholeness, where you prosper in all things and in every area of
your life, and reign by grace through righteousness, have been made
available to you in Christ. Walk in this light.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the life of Christ in me. I accept and
affirm the truth of who I am in Christ, in whom I have my wholeness and
who also, has been made unto me, righteousness, wisdom, and
sanctification. My whole life is an epitome of excellence and God's
beauty, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

The Revelation Of Christ In Us · Tuesday, June 25th ·
Pastor Chris
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory
(Colossians 1:27).
Hebrews 1:3 describes the Lord Jesus as the
express image of the Father; the outshining or effulgence of His glory.
He came to reveal the glory of God to us. So, when we preach the Gospel,
there’s a purpose to it: it’s the revelation of Christ in us, that we
might be the express image of His person and the effulgence of His
glory. Spiritual growth, therefore, is determined by the extent to which
Christ is revealed or manifested through you.
The revelation
of Christ in us is much more than an imitation of Christ; it’s
understanding and expressing His character; His life and glory. His
humanity was to bring us salvation, and show us what we could be, and
what we could do. He laid a perfect example for us to follow. He lived
to glorify God, and that ought to be your passion and pursuit in life as
well.
Paul said in Galatians 1:15-16, "But when it pleased
God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen…."
There should be a consciousness in your spirit that you’re called to
reveal Christ to your world. Everywhere you go, and in everything you
do, your goal should be for Christ to be exulted in and through you.
Let Him have the dominion over your spirit, soul, and body. The more He
gains preeminence over your life, the more His divine will and purposes
are fulfilled in and through you.
Confession
My life
is the expression of the glory of God. Christ is exulted in me; His
divinity is manifested through me today, as I live to fulfill His
purpose and do His perfect will! Thank you Lord, for your wisdom,
ability, and power, that are inherent in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Cares For You Affectionately · Monday, June 24th ·
Pastor Anita
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully (1 Peter 5:7 AMP).
Some people love to worry. Anxiety has become a lifestyle they almost can’t do without. It’s either they’re worried about their families or their jobs or about money or the country; they always have something to worry about. Take worry away from them, and they’ll probably not be happy. What an unfortunate way to live!
As a Christian, you can’t live your life that way, not after the Word tells you to cast the whole of yourcares on Him. Someone might say, "I worry a little bit," no; don’t worry at all. The Word says, to cast all your cares upon Him; not some cares. Let Him have all your anxieties and worries, so you’d be free to serve Him. Don’t cast them on Him in the morning and take them back at night time. Do it once and for all.
The Lord cares for you affectionately; He watches over you lovingly, to show Himself strong on your behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). He’s very personal with you. The Bible says He rejoices over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). He knows you by name; He’s concerned about everything that has to do with you. No detail about your life is too insignificant for Him to get involved in. His delight is for you to live joyfully in peace, prosperity, and righteousness every day. He doesn’t want you to focus on problems or challenges; He wants you rather to focus on Him, and trust Him with your life. He cares for you affectionately.
Prayer
Dear Father, you’re my nourisher, sustainer, and bread-provider; my trust and hope is in you; therefore I’m confident of a glorious today, and a rewarding tomorrow, knowing that your perfect will shall be accomplished in me, and through me, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Jesus Fulfilled His Ministry · Sunday, June 23rd ·
Pastor Chris
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God (Hebrews 10:7).
The Apostle John beautifully captures for us some of the closing remarks of Jesus, especially some of His prayers as He rounded off His ministry on earth. In one of such instances He prayed, "…Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him" (John 17:1-2). This is extraordinary.
The Father gave Jesus power over all flesh; that means everything that has breath is subject to Jesus. In addition, He was given the power to give eternal life at His choice. He’s the only one given the right to give life; not just ordinary life, but the God-life. This shows that He wasn’t a mere religious leader; He was Himself God. While some of the religious leaders lived their entire lives searching for the way, the truth, and the life, Jesus was unequivocal. He said "…I am the way, the truth, and the life…" (John 14:6).
In John 17:3-4 He said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do." This ought to be your thinking as well; glorifying the Father should be your life; that should be your passion. The Lord Jesus finished the works that God gave Him. On the Cross, He said, "It is finished" (John 19:30), before He gave up the ghost.
Have you discovered God’s purpose for your life? Do you know the specific purpose for your being? Are you at it? Will you finish it? Are you striving for the faith of the Gospel? What are you living for? Like Jesus, keep your focus on the purpose of the Father, which is the Gospel; so that at the end of time, you’ll be able to boldly declare like the Apostle Paul: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, I declare that I’m enlightened in my spirit to know and understand your will for my life, so as to fulfil my destiny in you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Fully Dressed And Equipped For Life · saturday, june 22nd ·

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for
the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
(Ephesians 4:11-12).
Our theme scripture enumerates for us the
fivefold ministry gifts, which the Lord gave to the Church. These are
the offices of the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and
teachers. The twelfth verse, however, tells us the purpose for which He
gave these ministry gifts to the body of Christ: it’s for the
"perfecting" of the saints.
The word "perfecting" comes from
the Greek, "katartismos," which means to be fully dressed, furnished, or
equipped to the point of lacking nothing. This means that God anoints
men and women into any of these five ministries, to bring His people
into a place of maturity in Christ, where they’re "fully dressed" and
equipped to fulfil God’s plans.
Now, Ephesians 6:11 enjoins us
to put on the whole armour of God, so that we may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. However, to put on the armour, you’d
have to first know what it is. Also, you’d have to be taught from the
Word how to put it on through faith. These are part of the
responsibilities of the pastor or teacher or of any of the fivefold
ministry gifts, to bring you the knowledge of God’s Word, so you can
walk in the light of it.
Some Christians have never been
adequately taught the Word of God; hence, they’re not "fully dressed" or
equipped for life. Although they’re physically dressed, they’re exposed
spiritually, making them vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy.
Now, the problem isn’t so much that Satan attacks them, but that
they’re "injured" from his attacks, which shouldn’t have been, had they
been fully dressed with the whole armour of God. When you have the
armour on, Satan can attack you all he wants to, but you’re unperturbed,
because you’re dress-ready for battle and fortified against him.
Confession
I’m strengthened, for t i f ied, and energized for victory through the
power of God’s Word, and the might of the Spirit. I maintain my victory
and dominion over Satan and the forces of darkness today, and with my
divine armoury, I extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked, in the
Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalms 1:3).
Jesus
brought us into a life of power, fruitfulness, and productivity. This
truth is expressed in John 15:16 where He said, "Ye have not chosen me,
but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring
forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall
ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." He let’s you know
that you’ve been chosen, ordained, commissioned and appointed to bring
forth fruits; lasting results.
This means He has made you
efficacious, giving you the power to produce desired results. If there’s
a target set for you, irrespective of how daunting the task may be,
your efficacy can be trusted because of the special abilities the Lord
has introduced into your life. You’ve been fashioned for success and
excellence. This is the mind-set you should have. You’re not meant to
hustle your way through life or struggle to make things work; you’re
ordained to be productive.
Observe again the Psalmist’s
beautiful description of this extraordinary life of productivity and
excellence that God has brought you into: "And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his
season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall
prosper" (Psalms 1:3). Make this your daily confession, and say, "I’m
like a tree planted by the rivers of water, and I produce excellent
results. I’m fruitful and productive!"
You can do anything; you
can be anything; you can get anything; you can go anywhere; you can be
what you choose to be. This is the life God has given you; it’s a life
of righteousness with dominion, where you honour and please Him by being
fruitful in every good work, as you increase in the knowledge of Him.
Confession
I’m anointed for good works and ordained unto a life of fruitfulness

abundant fruit unto Him in righteousness. Praise God forever more!

Let The Word Have Power Over You · Thursday, June 20th ·

Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation
in the wilderness (Hebrews 3:7-8).
Abraham was a man who
greatly esteemed God’s instructions. In Genesis 22:2, the Lord said to
him, "Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get
thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering
upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of." As tough as this
instruction was, Abraham didn’t question it; rather, he acted
accordingly and would have sacrificed his son, had the Lord not
prevented him. His motivation was, "God said so!"
It ought to
be the same for you. Your pleasure in life shouldn’t be the excitement
of doing the things you like, but doing the things the Lord said to do.
Just as in Abraham’s case, God’s instruction to you may seem unpleasant;
for instance, He may tell you to stay on a job you don’t like very
much. Don’t argue about it; stay on the job and choose to like it and
make a success of it because the Lord said so.
God’s Word comes
to us to transform, correct, and guide us. When it comes to you, don’t
be casual with it, or reason it away. If you’re about to make a decision
and the Word of God tells you differently, don’t harden your heart;
choose the Word-way. God’s Word will always show you the more excellent
way to go.
Jesus wept over Jerusalem because the people didn’t
recognize Him; the Word of God. Thus, they missed the time of their
visitation (Luke 19:44). That’s what happens to those who harden their
hearts against the Word; it passes them by. It’s my prayer that God’s
Word will always have power in your life to mould, correct, and reprove
you; making you that man or woman that God has destined you to be.
Prayer
Dear Father, I rejoice at your Word as one who has found great
treasure. Your Word is my life, and has the final authority over me, and
all that I do. I’ll forever yield myself to the Lordship of your Word
to mould, correct and fashion me into that glorious personality that
you’ve ordained me to be, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
