RHAPSODY OF REALITIES.
Our Higher Life In Him · Friday, June 28th ·
Pastor Chris
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).
The Greek word translated "shew" is "kataggello" which means to
declare, announce, and to teach. This is why taking the Holy Communion
is so significant because as we participate in the communion, we
announce to devils of darkness, angels, and all creation, the death of
Jesus Christ, and the glory that should follow. It’s a celebration of
the indestructible life that we now have in Him. Because He died, we now
have a glorious life!
Matthew 8:17 declares, "That it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took
our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." If He bore your infirmities
and sicknesses, then you should never be sick! However, as glorious as
this truth is, there’s a higher level. The understanding at the babyhood
stage that Jesus took your infirmities and sicknesses is good. However,
beyond that is a higher level of awareness and recognition that being
born again, the life of God is actually in you now: that transcendent
life, beyond sickness and disease. This higher knowledge is what you
should really study, and train yourself to live by.
Set your
gaze on the Word; have the consciousness that eternal life is in you
now. Rejoice in who you are in Christ now. In Him, you have a new life
that’s superior to Satan, sickness, infirmities and death. 2 Corinthians
5:17 says "...if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Celebrate your
higher life in Him.
Confession I’m not of this world;
therefore I’m not subject to the circumstances and rudiments of this
earthly realm. Christ Jesus gave me eternal life— the overcoming,
indestruct ible, unconquerable life of God; and I walk with this
consciousness today; glory to God!
