He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel (Psalms 103:7).
There’re certain thoughts I like to describe as the “thinkings” of God; the way He reasons. He doesn’t think the way men do, so, it’s important to know how He thinks and why He thinks the way He does. What are the thoughts on His mind? Of course, when you look in the Word of God, you can get the answer to this question.
For instance, humans think that morning and evening make one day. They think the day starts when they wake up in the morning, and ends when they go to sleep at night; but God thinks differently. Every time the Word of God made direct reference to a full day, God would always say “evening and morning.” For example, in Genesis 1:5, God said, “…And the evening and the morning were the first day.” He doesn’t relate from light to darkness. Rather, He thinks from darkness into light; from evening into morning (read Genesis 1:8, 13, 19, 23, 31).
No wonder He says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). Observe He didn’t say, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more from morning into evening.” Men think that the day ends with evening, but God says, “No; your day goes into morning!” isn’t that wonderful! He reasons so differently; and we’re the ones who need to come up to His ways of thinking.
If you’re born again, you’re born of His Spirit. Then, the Bible says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25). We’re not only born of the Spirit, but have also been called to walk in the realms of the Spirit of God. To do this, we have to be spiritually minded. Our thinking has to become the “thinkings” of God; it has to be on the level of the Word of God, not on the ordinary plane of life. We need to learn and meditate on His Word so that we can capture His thoughts and His ways of doing things. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 says, “…we have the mind of Christ.” Therefore, it’s possible for us to reason at the same frequency with Him.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for flooding my heart with your divine thoughts, as I study and meditate on your Word today. My mind is sanctified to think at your level, and improve the quality of my life, as I walk in your ways, with my spirit conditioned for progress, prosperity and excellence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
