Rhapsody Of Realities : Set Your Faith On Course by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Saturday, September 3rd .
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). God loves you and cares about you, regardless of the challenges and difficulties you may be facing right now. He always wants to see you win and live happy every day. Jesus said, “...In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Never allow anything get you frustrated; train your faith. Tell yourself, “Against hope, I believe in hope that all things are working together for my good” (Romans 8:28). The triumphant life is yours in Christ Jesus; refuse to settle for less. Things might not exactly be going as you’ve expected, but maintain your confession of the Word. Don’t accept defeat and don’t give in to sickness or anything that hurts. Don’t say, “I’ve been infected,” just because you noticed some symptoms in your body. Faith doesn’t consider the symptoms or circumstances. Faith considers the Word. Symptoms or the doctor’s diagnosis shouldn’t change your confession. Keep the Word in your mouth. It doesn’t matter how you feel or the figures in your bank statement; it doesn’t change who you are. Refuse to be rated by your circumstances. The things you see with your physical eyes are subject to change. Therefore, set your faith on course. Your faith is your currency; and with it, nothing shall be impossible to you. Every adversity you face is your opportunity to experience and manifest the glory of God: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17). No matter what you go through in life, it’ll turn out for your good, as long as you turn your eyes away from the conditions or circumstances, to the Word. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith….”

He perfects your faith; therefore, never give up. Don’t say, “The trouble was too much, and so I gave up”; no, take on the shield of faith. With your faith, you can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Your faith is a shield; use it.

CONFESSION
Blessed be God, who gives me the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, and has made me more than a conqueror. I live triumphantly today, and always, fulfilling God’s dream and bringing glory to His Name. Hallelujah!

Further Study:
|| James 2:17-22 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? || || Romans 4:17-21 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: THINK DIFFERENTLY By PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PhD

FRIDAY, 2ND SEPTEMBER, 2016 .
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward (Hebrews 10:35). It’s the ninth month of the year 2016—our “Year of Spreading.” Perhaps, you might have been troubled and saying in your heart, “Lord, I still have goals and things I want to do. I want to receive more money for this, and for that; now the year is almost coming to an end.” Don’t think that way with God. Stay in eternity. Live in eternity. Think differently. Don’t “push” God like natural men do. Live with Him in His realm of life. Don’t get under the pressure. When you get under pressure because of what you want to accomplish within a certain time, you become a slave to time. Don’t let that happen to you. Time should be a slave to you. Psalm 37:4-5 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Nothing is too difficult for, or impossible with, the Lord; He’s the great God. He said in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” His greatness is beyond description. His power is limitless. Trust Him, and trust His ability. He can do for you in a second, what naturally should have taken you ten years to achieve. Within the last part of this year, you can receive anything that you desire of Him. Jesus said in John 16:24, “…ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” He wants your joy to be full; therefore, keep your faith active; ask and receive. Stand firm; stay strong. Believe and keep affirming the Word even in the face of staggering oppositions. Never give up, for faith always wins.

CONFESSION
I refuse to be under the pressure, for the Lord is my salvation, and upon Him, I’ve cast all my cares, living the transcendent life, and enjoying peace with prosperity. My path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. The Lord my God is my sufficiency, my refuge, my glory and my strength; He’s my all. Hallelujah!

Further Study:
Matthew 6:31-32 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Rhapsody of Realities: No Lack Or Want by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Thursday, September 1st .
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19) Paul understood the message of the new creation; notice that he didn’t say, “My God shall supply all our need….” He knew that the new creation isn’t in lack or want; the new creation doesn’t need to be “supplied”; he’s the supplier! Romans 8:17 says we’re heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ. Paul, with this understanding, said to the spiritually immature, “But my God shall supply all your need….” When you’ve come of age, you’ll realize that in Christ, we don’t have any unmet needs. Matthew 6:33 says, “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

” When you seek the Kingdom of God first, every good thing you could ever wish for would be added to your life, without you having to ask. You won’t need to try to be happy, fulfilled or triumphant in life; you won’t need to pursue the things that the Gentiles seek: fame, money, recognition, acceptance, etc.; they shall be added unto you. This doesn’t mean that after you’ve first sought and got the Kingdom of God, then you can go and seek other things; no. Seek the Kingdom, and you’ll get the rest of them combined. You may say, “Yeah, that’s why I’m seeking the Kingdom of God.” No, don’t seek anymore; you already found it, if you’re born again; you’re already in the Kingdom, and the Kingdom is in you (Luke 17:21). To have the Kingdom is to have all things. Glory to God!

Don’t look at what you may consider a need; look at what He’s lavishly made available to you in Christ. You were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ; that means you’ve been brought into oneness, partnership or family-union with Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 1:9). If this is true (and it is true), what in the world could you ever be in need of? Affirm God’s Word in your life; He has said all things are yours; declare the same, because truly, there’s nothing you require that hasn’t been provided in Christ. Hallelujah!

Confession:
I testify that all things are mine! I lack nothing, because the Lord is my sufficiency; He makes me lie down in green pasture; He leads me beside the still waters! His divine power has given me all things that pertain to life and godliness. Glory to His Name forever!

 Further Study:
2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that [pertain] unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Psalm 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing]. 1 Corinthians 3:21-22. Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

Rhapsody of realities: Maintain Your Confession Of The Word by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Wednesday, August 31st .
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned… (Isaiah 43:2). When you study God’s Word, the economic problems and upheavals in the world today wouldn’t be a surprise to you. The socio-economic conditions in our world today must not dictate the circumstances of our existence. They must not control our faith in the Word of God. The Bible says those who know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits (Daniel 11:32). As a child of God, the troubles in the world are not set against you. Your prosperity is independent of inflation, economic meltdowns and downturns. You’re not of this world. You’re the seed of Abraham.
Refuse to fret or be anxious, for if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small (Proverbs 24:10). The Lord is your strength. Remain strong in Him and in the power of His might. Read what He says about you in the times of dryness, scarcity, and crises: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Glory to God! Let this be your testimony today and always, because it’s God’s Word concerning you. You’re a victor and a success in Christ Jesus, regardless of the crises and adversities in today’s world.

The darkness isn’t about to go away, for the Bible says, “...behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people”; but the scripture didn’t stop there; it continues, “…but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:2). In the midst of the darkness, you’ll shine brightly. Actually, the darker the night, the more brightly your light will shine. Therefore, rejoice, because the Lord your God is your prosperity. There’s no failure for you; so there’s no need to fear. Maintain your composure, and your confession of the Word.

PRAYER
Dear Father, you’re my refuge and my shield; I put my trust in you alone, knowing that in you I have life and all that I require to live triumphantly to the glory of your Name. I live above the economies and economics of this world; I’m prospering and making progress from glory to glory through the Word, and power of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:
|| Joshua 1:8-9 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest. || || Hebrews 13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: BEWARE OF EVIL COMMUNICATION By PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PhD

TUESDAY, 30TH AUGUST, 2016 .
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Through the Word of God we’re trained and cultured with good manners and godly behaviour, but some people can corrupt your good character through their unwholesome and perverse communication.
Evil communication corrupts good manners.
Any communication that negates, rejects or challenges the authority of God’s Word is an evil communication. Therefore, beware of such. The Bible says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed” (Proverbs 13:20). Psalm 1:1 says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
The wrong company can influence you to do the wrong things. For instance, the Bible says, “Show respect to the aged; honour the presence of an elder…” (Leviticus 19:32 MSG). Ephesians 6:2 says, “Honour your father and mother.” Imagine that you have a friend who says you don’t have to do it. That’ll be an ungodly counsel. The Word says, “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). But your friend says, “Must you pray all the time?” The Word tells you to not neglect church meetings, but your friend says otherwise. Don’t follow his ungodly counsel, but do the Word always. In 1 Corinthians 5:11 GNB, the Bible says, “…you should not associate with a person who calls himself a believer but is immoral or greedy or worships idols or is a slanderer or a drunkard or a thief. Don’t even sit down to eat with such a person.” It parallels the Spirit’s admonition in Philippians 3:2, to beware of dogs, evil workers, and manipulators. It’s a stern warning from the Lord. When you see an inscription on someone’s gate that reads, “Beware of dogs,” they’re warning you of the dogs inside; not the ones outside.

Also, when it says beware of “evil workers,” the Greek rendering actually means “mischief makers”; mischievous people. The Bible wouldn’t warn you of such people if they weren’t dangerous. Therefore, if someone, whom you may even respect, tells you something you know isn’t consistent with the Word, you shouldn’t accept it. Be guided by the Word in all you do, and your life will glorify God.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I walk in the prearranged paths which you made ready for me before the foundations of the world. I’m guided by your Spirit to walk in wisdom and understanding, filled with the thoughts of righteousness. I’m guided and regulated by the Word, today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:
Psalm 1:1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Matthew 5:29-30 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell. Psalm 26:4-5 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. 5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

Rhapsody Of Realities : Be Ruled By The Word by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Monday, August 29th
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live (Romans 8:13). As a child of God, you’re an ambassador of Christ. That’s how He sees you. You’re His representative. That’s why it’s important that your behaviour conforms to the Word. Be ruled by the Word. Don’t live according to your flesh. Don’t be controlled by your emotions. Give no place to carnality in your life. Be spiritually minded. Spend time on the Word and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit to work through you. Remember, He sees your heart; if you’re hungry for Him; if you’re zealous and passionate for Him and the spread of the Gospel, He’ll see to it that you’re a success in life. So, you’ve got to align yourself with His thoughts. Let nothing stop you from living a life that’s pleasing to the Lord. Let your life be to the praise and glory of the One who called you.

Walk in the Spirit; the Bible says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). Walking in the Spirit is walking in the Word; living according to God’s Word. As long as you can have bitterness in your heart, you’re not walking in the Spirit; as long as you’re still involved in some worldly, carnal machinations, you’re not walking in the Spirit. Refuse to be body-ruled. Live beyond the senses, for Christianity is life in the spirit. Don’t live in accordance to how you feel; live in accordance to the Word. You’re not of this world; you’re born of the Word. Jesus said, “I’m from above,” and so are you; you’re from above. Therefore, “set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2). Don’t think, talk, or act like the world. Let the Word of God dominate your thinking and control your life.

CONFESSION
I’m born of the Spirit, and I’m fully yielded to His leading, guidance and control; I don’t fulfil the desires of the flesh. I’m fulfilling God’s perfect will, and living out my destiny in Him. I yield my spirit to Him only, to be instructed and guided in wisdom to please the Lord in all things. Amen.

 Further Study:
|| Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. || || Romans 8:6-9 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Rhapsody Of Realities: Put The Word In You by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

28th Sunday, August 2016.
Opening verse: «And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Jesus is the revelation of God’s Word and the character of His thoughts, opinions, imaginations and entire being. He was the Word of God in flesh and a master of words. The Bible tells us how the temple guards who were sent to arrest Him, stopped to listen to Him, and upon hearing His words, went back without arresting Him. When the chief priests and Pharisees asked why they returned without Him, the officers replied, “...No man ever spoke like this Man!” (John 7:46 NKJV). His words brought healing to the sick, restored sight to the blind, unstopped deaf ears, gave the lame new legs to walk, and raised the dead. His words were different. The Bible says He cast out demons with His words (Matthew 8:16). He ruled and reigned with words. He showed us the power of words; their value and how to use them.

Don’t just talk; speak the Word. Build yourself. Develop your spirit and distinguish yourself. Make your words different and become an excellent person. This won’t happen, however, until you feed your spirit with the right information—God’s Word. The Bible says, “...for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things” (Matthew 12:34-35). God gives us His Word so we can receive it, meditate on it, and let it become a part of us. Jesus said, “...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). Remember, food becomes a part of your body when you eat. In the same way, if you’d meditate on God’s Word, you’ll produce God’s words. If you don’t have it in you, it can’t come out of you. Put the Word in you. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16).

 Confession
The Word of God is in my heart and in my mouth, and as I speak it forth, I establish the goodness of God in my world, effecting positive changes, and charting my course in glory. Blessed be God!

Rhapsody of realities : Don’t Ask God For Things by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Saturday, August 27th .
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
The purpose of prayer isn’t for us to get God to do something for us. In fact, did you know your heavenly Father doesn’t want you asking for things? Someone who finds this surprising could be wondering, But Jesus said, “Ask and it shall be given you” (Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:9). Yes, He did say that, but that was before the emergence of the new creation. “Ask and it shall be given you” was His teaching on faith and confidence in the Lord before His vicarious death, burial, resurrection and subsequent ascension to the Father to inherit all things in our behalf. Now, He’s made us joint-heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). The Bible says, “…his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3). Having discovered these truths, what would you really want to ask God for? We read in our opening verse that you’ve been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Stop asking God for things in prayer. Use the power and privilege of prayer for higher purposes, like fellowship with the Father. You own the world. All things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21), because you’re the seed of Abraham.

God already knew everything you’d ever need, and before you came on the scene, He made them available to you. He’s blessed you with all things already. There’s nothing today you’ll like to have that you don’t already have. “Yes, Pastor Chris, I know the Bible says all things are mine, but the reason I’m not enjoying them is because I really don’t have faith.” No; you do have faith if you’re born again. You only need to act on the Word. The Bible says, “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). The same measure of faith was given to every one of us when we received the Gospel of Christ. Moreover, that measure of faith you received at the New Birth is enough to move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Use what you have. Exercise your faith.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for supplying everything I need to live triumphantly for your glory and fulfil my destiny in you! I refuse to fret or struggle for anything, for you’ve brought me into the place of rest and superabundance, where all my needs are met, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:
|| Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. || || Matthew 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Rhapsody of realities: He Wants You Successful by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Friday, August 26th . After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN (Matthew 6:9-10). The underlined portion of the scripture above is simply amazing. If this wasn’t supposed to be answered, Jesus wouldn’t have taught the disciples to pray this way. It reveals the Father’s desire for His will to be established on earth as it is in heaven. This means it’s His will for you to prosper, be healthy and strong, vibrant, successful, fruitful and productive, for these are consistent with His nature. There’re no obstructions, hindrances, lack or struggling in heaven. Therefore, nothing should limit you; you ought not to struggle for anything in your life! You’re called to reign and function from a position of rest.
If you’re in lack or experiencing any kind of setbacks, don’t despair. Set your mind on the Word, and walk in His light, and He’ll bring you to your destiny in Christ. 3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” He’s talking to you; you’re His beloved. You may say, “I don’t experience the love of God; I don’t know if God loves me.” He already proved His love for you the greatest way: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). No wonder He wants His perfect will done in your life.

Your life isn’t for poverty, failure or defeat; it’s for the glory of God. The world is full of poor and defeated people, but we’re the ones to reach out and help them. You’re God’s channel of blessing to your world; that’s why He wants you to be successful, fruitful, and productive.

PRAYER
Dear Father, yours is the greatness, the power, the glory, the majesty, and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Your blessing brings wealth, with no painful toil for it; therefore, I refuse to struggle in life, because I’m in your rest. I’m prosperous and successful in every good work, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: APPLY THE WORD FOR CHANGES BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PhD

THURSDAY, 25TH AUGUST, 2016.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). As a Christian, it’s important that you keep making progress, and using the Word of God to improve the quality of your personality. You ought to be able to testify of definite changes in your personality in recent times, through the application of the Word of God. There should be something positive and definite that you’ve built into your character or something negative that you got rid of from your character, by using the Word of God. Subject yourself to the Word for it to effect changes in your spirit and in your soul. The change in your physical body is easy; the focus now is the change from within.
You have a responsibility in building and upgrading your life with the Word of God; no one can do this for you. There’re people who haven’t changed in ten years. The same things that offended them years ago, are still offending them now. The same people they disliked years ago are still disliked today. The same issues they’ve had in five years are still there. They’ve neither changed nor grown; that’s sad. The question to ask is, have such people acquired more information? Of course, they might have; but they haven’t acted on the information. They’ve heard and studied the Scriptures but haven’t yielded themselves to the transforming power of the Word of God to bring about lasting changes in their personality. It’s not enough to hear or gather scriptural information; you must act on the Word.

There’re those who, when they’re in church, write down everything that’s being preached and taught. They get the tapes and they listen, but they’re so used to the voice that it doesn’t mean anything to them nor effect a change in their character. They’ve become too familiar with the Word. Don’t be that way. Believe in the power and ability of the Word of God to transform your life from glory to glory. Apply the Word for changes. I’m not talking about a temporary change, but permanent changes to affect your personality. God’s Word was given to you as a creative material. Any change you want in your life is possible; use the Word to make it happen. You can create more victories and sustain yourself in the transcendent life with the Word.

CONFESSION
The Word of God is my life and my sustenance; I’m making progress and winning every day by the Word. Today, my life is improved and upgraded as the Word of God impacts my spirit, bringing about a transformation from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rhapsody of realities:See And Manifest The Glory by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Wednesday, August 24th .
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee (Isaiah 60:1-2). When, as a Christian, it seems like you’re under pressure at work, or there’s an unpleasant doctor’s report regarding your health, or your bank account is in red, don’t cry; don’t complain. Don’t fret or become despondent. Rather, get into your closet, and contemplate the glory of God. If it’s a financial challenge, declare that you’re the seed of Abraham. Abraham’s seed can’t be broke or poor! You’re the possessor of all things, because you’re an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ.

Times of challenges aren’t times for you to run helter-skelter, seeking help from man, no; trust in the Lord! He’s your help. If you have a financial need for example, declare, “I have all the money I require in the Name of Jesus; it comes to me by free course.” Make the declaration with faith, boldness and confidence, and it’ll be according to your word! Let nothing make you fret.

You’re called to manifest the glory of God. Despite the darkness and hardship in today’s world, you’re more than a conqueror. You’re a victor in Christ Jesus. You can never be disadvantaged. Christ in you is the hope of glory. See yourself in the glory. See yourself walking in the glory, carrying and manifesting the glory of God in your academics, in your job, health, family, finances, etc. See the glory in your life. The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). Right after the sufferings of Christ, a life of glory ensued! He suffered so that you’d live in the glory. Therefore, live and walk in the light of your righteousness, victory, success, dominion, health and prosperity in Christ Jesus, and say “no” to defeat, failure, weakness and the down-life.

CONFESSION
I’m what God says I am! I live and walk in the light of my righteousness and glorious life in Christ Jesus. My faith is strong and effective; I’m victorious in every circumstance, making progress and advancing all the way! All things are mine, because I’m an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ. Hallelujah!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES:THEY DON'T COUNT AT ALL BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD

TUESDAY, 23RD AUGUST.
How terrible when all people speak well of you; their ancestors said the very same things about the false prophets (Luke 6:26 GNB). God desires that every one of us be successful. And depending on your level of success, you’ll automatically become a persona non-grata to some; you’ll attract adversaries. This isn’t out of place. Never be worried, downcast, feel rejected or sad if there’re those who are against you, or those who don’t accept or approve of your success. Actually, when you identify those who are against your success, you should be glad! The reason is that this world is so big, with a population in excess of seven billion people. Those whoare against you left everything else just to be against you; that shows you’re very important.
So, get excited when you’re criticised by your adversaries. There’s something inspiring in what T.L Osborn said several years ago; he said, “When you see a man with many or powerful or influential enemies, mark that man, for he’s going places.” How true! You measure a man’s strength, worth or value, not by his friends, but by the power of his adversaries. You measure a man’s greatness or influence, by the number or power of his enemies. As long as you’re successful, your detractors will have you in focus. Once you’re no longer as radiant or as successful as they think, they wouldn’t care. But you don’t need to bother about them, because they don’t count. When they come out against you, they’ll stumble and fall, because the Lord is your salvation. Never give thoughts and undue considerations to Satan, and the activities of wicked and unreasonable men that seek to bring you down. Understand this: your daily life is the fulfilment of that which has already been written. The Psalmist affirmed, “…When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell” (Psalm 27:1-2). For those who set themselves up to be your enemies, their fate is sealed: they’ll stumble and fall.

Therefore, refuse to be distracted. Focus on what you’ve been called to do. There’s no need to pray about your enemies; instead, love them as Jesus said: “…Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you” (Luke 6:27-28).

CONFESSION
The peace of God garrisons my heart and mind in Christ, irrespective of the adversaries and adversities around me. My heart is stayed on the Lord who is my rock and fortress, my protection, and salvation. Now and always, I walk in victory, and in the dominion of the Word, reigning by grace through righteousness. Hallelujah!

Psalm 27:1-3 The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, [even] mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this [will] I [be] confident. 1 Corinthians 16:8-9 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and [there are] many adversaries. Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rhapsody of realities:Put Your Name There by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD

Monday, August 22nd . Pastor Chris The elder unto the well-beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:1-2). The Apostle John established the fact, that above everything else, it’s God’s desire that we prosper in all things: spiritually, mentally, physically and materially. God’s dream is for us to be excellent and live in divine health always. Someone might say, “But that statement in our opening scripture was specifically addressed to Gaius; so it’s not applicable to us today.” Well, 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…”; therefore, this beautiful thought John penned down is from the Spirit of God, and it’s still as relevant today. Gaius has gone to heaven, the apostles have gone to heaven; we’re the ones on the scene today. Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” His Word is for now; so, 3 John 1:2 isn’t for Gaius today; it’s for you, because it’s consistent with the provisions of the Gospel of Christ.

You might as well read the entire opening verse again, and instead of Gaius, insert your name. That’s what you do with God’s Word; you make it personal to you, because His Word is to you personally. When you hear or study the Scriptures, especially the Epistles, personalize the Word; insert your name. For example, don’t just read Philippians 4:13 as though it was only for the Apostle Paul. If your name is Smith, say, “I, Smith, can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Take possession of the Word; apprehend it and make it yours. Don’t say, “He’s talking to us”; no! Say, “He’s talking to ME!” The Word of God is for you to live in, and live by. Always personalize the Word for your progress and blessings.

 PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I yield to the Word, which prevails in my life, causing me to consistently make progress and walk in your glory. I prosper in my spirit, soul and body, and in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: Judge It By The Word By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PHD

Thursday 17th March, 2016  Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge (1 Corinthians 14:29). Sometimes, people receive what they claim to be visions or revelations from the Lord without subjecting such to Gods Word. They dont take the time to check that such visions and revelations are consistent with the written Word. For example, a certain man had a vision. He had been a Christian for many years, but he became sick. While on his sick bed, he had a vision where someone, wearing sandals and a white robe, and covered with a cloud, walked into the room. He started looking from the persons feet upwards to see who it was. As he looked to see his face; the man spoke up and said, Its not my will to heal you, and disappeared. Although he couldnt see the face of the one who appeared to him, he believed it was Jesus, because he said he felt the presence of God in the room. Hence, he accepted that it wasnt the will of God to heal him, and began telling other brethren how it wasnt Gods will for him to be healed. But that couldnt be Jesus, or why would anybody think it was Jesus who appeared to the man? Is it because the person described was in a white robe, covered with white cloud? Or is it because, as the man said, he felt the presence of God in the room? None of these is enough for anyone to assume it was Jesus. You have to understand the interpretation of revelations. If you saw a vision of someone that looked like Jesus, and the person told you something thats inconsistent with the Scripture, then its questionable; you have every right to reject it. This is something many people are ignorant of. The will of God is clearly expressed in the Scriptures: God wants you well! In 3 John 1:2, He said, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Hell never contradict His Word. So, if the voice youre hearing contradicts the Word of God, thats a demon talking to you, irrespective of the appearance. Moreover, were warned in scriptures not to be deceived, because even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Every revelation must be subjected to the Word of God! Dont accept it just because you saw a vision or because you got it from someone whom you think is spiritual; judge it by the Word. A revelation may not necessarily be perfect and accurate, but every revelation must be consistent with the revealed Word of God. This is another reason you must know the Word for yourself.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank you for granting me wisdom and insight into your perfect will in all things. The eyes of my understanding have been enlightened to know the hope of your calling, and the riches of the glory of your inheritance in the saints. I express the virtues and excellence of your Spirit today, as your Word finds a vent through me, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Rhapsody of Realities: Power In The Word By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Wednesday, March 16th . He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). The power of God is in His Word. You receive power when you hear the Word. Our opening scripture says, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." Healing is a power. When the healing power of God comes to reside in you, it doesn't matter what sickness has been in your body, that power would produce results and prevail. Matthew 8:16 says, "When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick." You see, the Lord Jesus cast out devils with His word! There's power in the Word. A dear sister's baby had been in the hospital for some time and things weren't looking good. The doctors had diagnosed the problem to be brain tumour and the prognosis was bleak; there was nothing more medical science could do. The family stood on God's Word and believed for complete recovery. They prayed, and regularly confessed the Word over the little baby who was in the intensive care unit. The child's condition later took a turn for the worse. The sister, however, refused to fret, for she recognized she was engaged in a fight of faith. She and her family maintained their confession and set their focus on the Word. Soon, the baby got better, and after more tests, the doctors couldn't find the tumour anymore! Several specialists were called in to conduct tests to verify the result and their results also came out negative; the brain tumour had disappeared. The boy was gloriously healed! There's healing power in the Word. God always confirms His Word with signs and wonders. Your role is to keep it in your heart and in your mouth always. It doesn't matter what you might be going through right now; there's enough power in the Word to put you over. Set your focus on the Word and maintain your confessions of faith. Keep testifying that the Word of God in your mouth is prevailing over circumstances, and your victory will be inevitable.

PRAYER
Thank you dear Father for your infallible Word, and its ability to make me what it talks about. I live triumphantly in, and by, the Word, making progress with giant strides, and expanding on every side, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: RENEW YOUR THINKING BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME PHD

TUESDAY, 15TH MARCH.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). After you’ve given your life to Christ, you’ve got a responsibility. The Bible tells us not to be like the rest of the world. Don’t conform to the world’s standards and ways of doing things. Be different. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That means, change your way of thinking; have a new mindset. If you want to see increased manifestation of the glory of God in your life, you must keep renewing your mind with the Word. Before you became a Christian, you heard, and spoke words from the world; words that you learnt from your friends, from school, your environment, the members of your family, etc. Sometimes they were bitter words, angry words, and harsh words. Some other times, they were nice words. However, God gives us words that are more than “nice”; words of the Kingdom, with which to transform our lives from glory to glory. As you study and yield yourself to the ministry of the Word, your spirit is inundated with divine truths; your mind is elevated to think Kingdom thoughts. This is why learning and meditating on the Word is so important. God’s Word gives you a new way of thinking. Whereas you used to think failure, fear, lack, and want, the Word gives you the mindset of success, excellence, victory, dominion, and abundance. Now that you’re in Christ, refuse to be conformed to this world; rather, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Renew your thinking with the Word. By hearing the Word of God, and digesting it into you, you develop new thoughts. One of the major reasons many are defeated in life is their thinking. When they don’t think right, they can’t act right, and their minds are held in bondage. Nevertheless, with the transforming power of God’s Word, the limits are broken. So, set your mind on the Word and let it transform your life.

PRAYER
As I meditate on the Word today, I’m transformed, transfigured, and catapulted into the image that I see in the Word! The glory of God in my spirit, and upon me, increases, influencing my attitude, character, mindset and faith. My life is improved and upgraded by the power of God’s Word today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things arehonest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there beany praise, think on these things. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: SPEAK HEAVENLY WORDS BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

MONDAY, 14TH MARCH, 2016
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak (John 12:49-50). Jesus tells us in the verses above that His words are the Father’s commandments; everything that He said came from the Father. In other words, the Father gave Him a commandment of what He should say or what He should speak. What He said in the next verse is even more inspiring; He said, “And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak” (John 12:50). Amazing! In John 20:21, He said, “...Peace be unto you: As my Father had sent me even so send I you.” Notice that He wasn’t only talking to Peter, James, John or the other Apostles, but to us today. Thus, the same way He spoke the Father’s words, words from heaven, we’re to speak heavenly words; divine words. We’ve been given a commandment of what we should say, and what we should speak. In Christianity, we don’t live for ourselves; we live for Him. We don’t speak for ourselves or from ourselves; we speak for Him, and from Him, just like Jesus. We have words given to us to speak. Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “...for he hath said...So that we may boldly say....” Don’t speak from yourself, speak His Word. Be a master of words like Jesus. He said, “I don’t speak my own words.” No wonder He was a victor at every count. He had the forces of nature under control. He knew exactly the right words to say. He lived the life of heaven on earth; He spoke wisdom all the time. God designed divinity to be released through words! Words are unlimited, because they go into the realm of the spirit. You can speak from your closet, and it will have impact anywhere in the world. Therefore, when you have a situation to deal with, meditate on the Word; soak your spirit in the Word until only the Word comes out of your mouth—words so precious—divine from heaven. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
My life is the testimony of God’s grace. His mercies and compassion surround me every day! I walk in His glory and perfection today, manifesting His righteousness, and exercising the dominion of the Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rhapsody of Realities: Your Spiritual Origin By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Sunday, March 13th . They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world (John 17:16). In John 6:38, Jesus said, "For I came down from heaven...." What a powerful, inspiring, and extraordinary declaration from the lips of the Master! He said, "...I came down from heaven...." "How is this possible? Didn't we read that He was born of a virgin in a little town called Bethlehem? So, how did He come from heaven?" Some have wondered. First, you need to understand that Jesus never minced words. He was always succinct and unambiguous in His communication. When He said, "I came down from heaven," He was speaking of His spiritual origin. This should further help you understand what He meant when He said, "...I am not of this world" (John 8:23). This shows that your origin has nothing to do with your physical birth; the land of your nativity. Those to whom Jesus spoke probably knew where He grew up in Nazareth, His mother, His siblings, etc. The Bible actually records that on a certain day, Jesus went out to preach in the town where He was raised as a little boy, but they didn't believe His message. They said, "...Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?" (John 6:42). Their lack of understanding of spiritual realities made them not to believe in Him. The same thing happens today. Those who are spiritually unlearned don't understand us when we make declarations on the basis of our divine origin. We're not of this world. The Bible says in 1 John 4:4, "Ye are of God, little children...", that means you hail from God; your origin is in Him. It's not how you were born, or where you were born, that determines your origin; otherwise, Jesus would have said "I came from Nazareth," but He didn't say that. He said, "I came down from heaven." Our spiritual origin makes us more than mere men; we're comrades of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4). We're not of the corruptible seed of man; we're born of the Word (1 Peter 1:23), which makes us indestructible and eternally victorious. Glory to God!

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank you for showing me in your Word, my true origin. I'm born from above, living out the indestructible and transcendent life of Christ. I live in the realm that's far above sickness, poverty, failure and all the negative influences of this world. I radiate your love, glory, excellence, perfections and wisdom, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Rhapsody Of Realities: MORE THAN A RELIGIOUS CLICHÉ By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Saturday, March 12th...To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). There're those who say "nice" things about us Christians; they tell us Christianity is the best religion in the world. It's kind of them to say such nice words about Christianity, but Christianity isn't a religion at all. As long as many assume Christianity to be a religion, they miss the blessing and impact of the transcendent life in Christ to which we've been called. The Bible never presents Christianity as a religion. The reason many tend to equate Christianity with religion is because of some of the activities in Christianity which are consistent with religion. There may be religion in Christianity; James 1:27 clarifies that for us: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." The foregoing scripture doesn't make Christianity a religion. For example, that you have a kitchen in your house doesn't make your whole house a kitchen. In religion, man is in search of a "God"; he wants to serve and relate with "God," because he believes there's a God. So, he wants to pray to, and worship, that "God." Therefore, in pursuit of his dream to serve that "God," whoever "that God" may be, he carries out so many different activities; that's religion. The difference in Christianity is about the man Jesus; it's about His life that was poured out, so man, instead of searching for God, can be an associate of the God-kind. That's Christianity; it's the life of Christ in a human being. Now, when we say, "Christianity is the life of Christ in a human person," it isn't a mere religious cliché, neither does it merely relate to some piousness in the way we do what we do; no! We're talking about the actual supplanting of the human life by the supernatural life of Christ; it is the infusion of Christ into the human person; the outworking of divinity in a human vessel; the unveiling of the Christ-life in a believing one. Having this clear understanding about Christianity sets you on course to live triumphantly every day, because you've come to know that greater is He that's in you, than he that's in the world.

PRAYER:
Dear Father, thank you for the reality of the divine life in Christ Jesus, who has defeated death and has brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Now, I live a joyful, exuberant, and glorious life in Christ; a life of absolute liberty, victory and dominion over Satan and circumstances, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES: All Out for The Gospel by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Friday 11th March
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:6-7). Our opening Scripture is so profound and touching. The Apostle Paul was writing from prison, anticipating his own death. He knew his life was about to be poured out; he was ready to go and be with the Lord, but not without affirming, “...I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” Paul’s conviction about the Gospel was absolute; and this was obvious in the kind of life he lived. He was sold out to the Gospel.
Your greatest passion should be the spread of the Gospel around the world. Jesus said in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” These compelling words capture the urgency and need to preach the Gospel to every man, woman, boy and girl, and keep at it until the knowledge of God’s Word and His righteousness cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. I’m sure you must have wondered at the commitment of those who wreak havoc through terrorism in different parts of the world. They believe in a wrong cause, and are willing to die for it. Now, if such folks could be willing to die (and are dying) for something that’s so wrong and hurtful to society, how much should you be ready to put into the true message—the Gospel—which is the only hope and power for man’s salvation? How far are you willing to go for the Gospel? Paul said, “I’m ready to be offered”; in other words, “I’m ready to die for the Gospel.” This was his mindset. In Romans 1:16, he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
How often do you intercede and agonize for lost souls, with tears and intense passion? When you speak, can others feel that intense passion and compassion you have for the salvation of lost souls? How much time, effort, energy, and resources do you commit to the Gospel? Be inspired always to win souls, and pray for lost souls with passion. Nothing should matter more to you than to see those for whom Jesus died, living for Him.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for stirring up in me passion, complete allegiance, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel, which is your only saving power to the lost. I pursue your dreams, your plans and purpose for my life, without distraction, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

John 4:31-34 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.; 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
