WE'VE GOT TO DO IT NOW! - PASTOR ANITA OYAKHILOME

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

THURSDAY,JANUARY 30TH

PASTOR ANITA OYAKHILOME

WE'VE GOT TO DO IT NOW!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Act 4:12).

Salvation is only in the Name of Jesus. Some of the world’s religions teach that when your good works outweigh your bad works, you’re accepted of God, but that’s not true. Good works or deeds will never save any man. Such erroneous belief is one of the reasons we’re reaching out to the ends of the earth, preaching the Gospel through every platform, in every nation, to all people. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

The religions of the world may promise life after death, peace and so on; but it’s a false promise because they can’t give what they don’t have. Only Jesus Christ has life and immortality for everyone who believes in Him (2 Timothy 1:10). He alone died and paid the penalty for man’s sin, and therefore has the right to give eternal life. In John 10:10, He said, “I have come that they (men) may have life, and have it to the full (NIV).”

The Gospel is God’s only saving power (Romans 1:16). It’s therefore important that you spread the Gospel with the passion and urgency it deserves. The Lord Jesus, in Matthew 7:13-14, emphasizes the reason we must remain zealous, passionate, and urgent with the Gospel: “…for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Many today are still in the dark and going in the wrong direction; in that wide road that leads to destruction. That’s the reason the Lord sent us to take the message of salvation to the ends of the earth. We must be in haste to reach the nations of the world with the Gospel; it’s our responsibility! We’ve got to preach the Gospel, and we’ve got to do it now; that’s the urgency; that’s the call.

Prayer:

Dear Father, your Word of salvation is like fire shut up in my bones, and I’m making it known everywhere, bringing men out of darkness into your glorious light, to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study:

Jeremiah 20:9(Amp)
If I say, I will not make mention of [the Lord] or speak any more in His name, in my mind and heart it is as if there were a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I am weary of enduring and holding it in; I cannot [contain it any longer].

2Timothy 4:2(Amp)
Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.

2Peter 3:9(GNT)
The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.

THE UNITY OF THE TRINITY

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

TUESDAY, JANUARY 28TH

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

THE UNITY OF THE TRINITY

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

(1 Timothy 3:16)

Someone once asked, "Didn't Jesus say over and over that God is His Father, and that He (Jesus) is not God; how come many Christians still refer to Jesus as God?" Well, Jesus never said He wasn't God, but He did say that He had a Father! He talked about His heavenly Father. In John 16:10 for example, He said "...I go to my Father...." Also, in John 14:28 He said, "...If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father...." However, it's important that you understand the mystery and unity of the trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Bible says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Jesus is Himself God. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily. When you see Jesus, you wouldn't need to look out for the Holy Spirit or the Father; He's the complete embodiment of Deity. When Philip asked Him "Lord, show us the Father" (John 14:8), His response was unequivocal; He said, "Anyone who has seen me, has seen the Father" (John 14:9).

Jesus is the outward expression or image of the unseen or the invisible God. The Holy Spirit is the one who proceeds from the Father; He's the doer, maker, or creator of God's works, which He does in the Name of Jesus. If you were to see God, He'll appear as Jesus. If you were to see the Holy Spirit, He'll appear as Jesus. Remember, in John 14:16, Jesus called the Holy Spirit "Allos Parakletos" (Greek), which means "another of the same kind"; "another that's exactly like me." Moreover, the book of Revelation shows us that it's Jesus that's on the great throne of God. So, "Why then does He call "God" His Father?" You might want to ask.

The reason is that Jesus is the Father's Word made flesh. You can't separate a man from His word; a man and his word are one, because his word comes out of him. Likewise, you can't separate God from His Word, which is the reason Jesus said, "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30); emphasizing the unity or oneness of the Deity. Jesus stands in the place of the Father, and in the place of the Holy Spirit! It's a mystery to the ordinary mind, but it's clearly understood with spiritual understanding.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord Jesus, I worship you, for in you dwell all the divine fullness-the sum total of the divine perfection, powers and attributes of divinity. You're the king eternal, gracious, loving, and kind! I love you with all my heart! Blessed be your Name forever!

Revelation 1:8(Amp)
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord God, He Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty (the Ruler of all).

John 1:1-3(Amp)
IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

DEVELOPING YOUR SPIRIT - PASTOR ANITA OYAKHILOME

 RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

MONDAY, JANUARY 27TH

PASTOR ANITA OYAKHILOME

DEVELOPING YOUR SPIRIT

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life, that now is, and of that which is to come.

1 Timothy 4:8

All the schools and colleges of the world merely provide knowledge and information relevant to the development of the mind and the senses, which, at best, will only make you a mental giant. Many, through some form of physical training have also been able to develop their physical body to keep fit and raise their overall fitness levels. However, there're not many schools that teach on the development of the human spirit. Incidentally, that's the most important; you ought to give primacy to the development of your spirit, for that's the real you.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:23, the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, penned a beautiful prayer for the saints, saying, "...and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Notice the order: The spirit first, then the soul, before the body. Unfortunately, many are only concerned about what takes place in their physical bodies, or how their minds function, losing sight of the most important-the spirit.

Your spirit is where the "issues of life"-prosperity, health, blessings, victory and joy-emanate from. Training to be an intellectual giant is okay; likewise, the training of your physical body to gain physical strength, agility and stamina is commendable. However, all the physical and mental training you could ever get will only profit your body and the senses. Training your spirit, on the other hand, is useful and of value in everything and in every way-for it holds promise for the present life and for the life that is to come.

Keep training your spirit through the study and meditation on the Word, fasting and prayer-especially praying in other tongues. Other spiritual exercises that energize your spirit include fellowshipping with other believers, soul winning, and acting swiftly on spiritual instructions; being quick to act on the Word.

PRAYER:

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that I receive every day, which builds my spirit and transforms me from glory to glory. I live in health, peace and prosperity, and I deal wisely in all my affairs because I've made your Word my constant meditation. Therefore, I'm programmed for the extraordinary life of dominion, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

F U R T H E R S T U D Y:

1 Timothy 4:8(AMP)
For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

Joshua 1:8(Amp)
This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

John 7:38(Amp)
He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.

He Creates New Destinies

Rhapsody of Realities

He Creates New Destinies .

Saturday, January 25th .
Pastor Chris

As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

The Lord said something to me some years ago, which to me is one of the biggest truths He’s ever taught me. He said, “I create destinies”; and as I contemplated on what He meant, very quickly, He explained it to me. He said, “I may have a destiny for a man, but I’m not limited by that destiny. Though I created the destiny for him, I reserve the right and ability to create another destiny for the same man.” This is extraordinary; it boggles the mind!

This means there’s no limit to what you can be! Your heavenly Father has the ability, authority, and right, to change your destiny; He can create a new destiny and future for you in an instant. He might already have a future and destiny for you that’s so great and wonderful, however, in His sovereignty and grace, He can choose to give you an even greater destiny. There’s a difference between changing one’s course, and giving the person a totally new destiny.

This is one reason you never need to be jealous or envious of anybody, or engage in unwholesome competition of any kind; no one can take your place. If you‘d trust in the One who creates new destinies, then you wouldn’t be perturbed by the fact that someone else is trying to “take your place.” God can create a new place just for you. There’s no disadvantage for you as a child of God. Romans 8:28 says, “… all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Be confident, knowing that your heavenly Father is able to turn any situation around in your favour. He’s the God that gives life to the dead (Romans 4:17). If perhaps you’ve made some errors and are being blamed for the things that have gone wrong, trust in the One who creates new destinies! He’ll change things and give you a fresh start!

Prayer

Dear Father, thank you for the unlimited grace I enjoy in you. I live in a place of rest and tranquility, knowing that the one who lives in me is greater than all the troubles of this life. I rejoice, because all things work together for my good, to the praise of your holy Name. Amen.
